Family:  ARPC2 belongs to ARPC2 family, which consists of 11 proteins from different species. It is a subunit of ARP2/3 complex, along with other 6 subunits.

Function: It facilitates the polymerization of actin filaments with other 6 subunits, and seems to contact the mother strand.
